I'm having a craving for sweets.
So I thought I'll google some recipes.
Wish I hadn't.

Chocolate Chunk and Pecan Cookies

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown suger, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/8 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup dark chocolate chunks
1/2 cup pecans, chopped or coarsely ground
Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl, then beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Next, mix the dry ingredients in another bowl. Combine the dry and wet ingredients and add the chocolate and pecans. Place the dough on cookie sheets and bake in a 350F preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

Lemon Cookies

1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
juice from half a lemon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg

For the icing
1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon light corn syrup
juice of half a lemon
zest of one lemon
1 teaspoon water
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. In a measuring cup, combine milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix well. Mix in the flour mixture, alternating with milk until smooth. Spoon mixture onto a lined baking tray and bake in a 350F preheated oven for 11 to 13 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Allow to cool in the tray before transferring to a cooling rack. While baking the cookies, mix the icing ingredients together and spread over the cookies when cooled.

I think it's time to bring out the baking utensils.
Nothing beats homemade. (:
